Many users have been so excited to have Internet Explorer 9 but felt frustrated after having experienced some flaws while using the browser. After such experience, many would opt to bring back the old or previous version of Internet Explorer.

The following explain in detail the steps on how to uninstall Internet Explorer 9 from your computer. Windows 7 Professional is the testing system used in this guide, so expect that there will be some differences compared with Vista.

Since Windows Internet Explorer 9 is installed as a system update it can also be uninstalled or removed from the Uninstall as an update in the control panel menu.

First, go to the Control Panel menu by clicking the START menu in the lower left corner of your screen and from there you will see the Control Panel located in the right side menu.

When you are now on the Control Panel locate “Uninstall a program” and click on the entry.

After clicking on the Control Panel, search for Uninstall a Program and click it.

Windows provide a list of all the programs being installed by the owner of the system. However, you might think that Internet Explorer 9 is also an installed program, it is not because it is just an UPDATE.

So for you to uninstall Internet Explorer 9 click the “View Installed Updates” located in the upper left corner of the screen.

Just pause for a moment and wait for the entire update list to be completed and displayed. When all are displayed already, search “Window Internet Explorer 9” through sorting it by name or by date, to make the search easier.

When you have already located the Internet Explorer 9, right click on it and choose the “uninstall” from the menu.

This will then start the un-installation process of the browser from your system. Just go after the instructions following. Lastly, to complete the un-installation, you must restart your computer in the end.

After restarting your computer, you will notice that the design is back again to Internet Explorer 8.

Just follow all the steps stated above, and you will surely be able to successfully uninstall your Internet Explorer 9. Remember, that these steps are for Internet Explorer Beta but it might likely be the same as with the Window Internet Explorer 9.
